Happycow is a digital platform connecting users to local vegan and vegetarian communities.

They have served the vegan community since 1999 with an untouched identity system.

Happycow

Existing users found happycow's branding to be “childish”, “old-fashioned” and “unprofessional”, demanding a modern timeless brand for a global audience.

Happycow was looking for an identity system consisting of a logo, word mark, emblem and typography system while maintaining a purple hue, and cow figure.

Keeping the two toned elements of the original logo happycow’s new look takes a playful minimal approach. It was important to create a logo that allowed for expansion into new markets (social media, food service, web and merchandise). The new logo invites the user to enjoy the happycow brand by inviting self discovery.

It was important to showcase the happycow user interface on all sizes of digital screens, both on their updated website and mobile platforms. We also created a new page for their expanded range of products, which demonstrates the wide reach of the new happycow brand.

Telling the ‘happiest’ story

Narrating the brand long after a rebrand is half the battle. Utilizing social templates and a brand style guide makes this on-going process much easier.
